Build Quality and Design
The Asus B450-F Gaming motherboard combines the cost-effectiveness of the AMD B450 chipset with the features that modern gamers have come to expect, all packed up in a full ATX form factor motherboard. The design of the ROG Strix B450-F Gaming comes in a different style to ROG themed boards of the past which were generally red and black, with the B450-F Gaming following its own colorway with a black and grey contrasting PCB. Combining all this on a PCB that looks far more like the other models in the Strix range and, on paper at least, the F is a very attractive prospect. The chipset cover is smaller, there’s no M.2 shroud, 1x PCIe slot is moved up to the top, and the VRM is less complex. Still, they do look very similar indeed. Further down the side, you’ll find six SATA ports, which is certainly more than enough for most system builds these days.
