Design

The Asus ROG Strix GL12CX comes in an all-black chassis with sharp angles on the front and top of the case.

The materials used are a mixture of carbonated plastic and metals with glossy materials beneath the Asus ROG logo to resemble its brand.

The included glass panel makes it more stylish and gamer-realistic look alongside the RGB Lightings in the front panel that is also Aura-Sync compatible.

After putting all the necessaries in the front panel, you can just put-in the cover right back into place which is good, since the chassis looks more fashionable with it in place, covering the SSD Tray and Front I/O Ports.

I/O Ports

In the front panel area, you’ll find a selection of ports, including 2x USB 3.0 ports, 2x USB 2.0 ports, an SD card reader and headphone jack.

You can also find a DVD drive in the front panel which is conventional when you need to install a software or driver from a CD or DVD.

While on the back, it has 2x USB 2.0, 4x USB 3.1, and 2x USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports along with 5 audio jacks. You can view its internal layout alongside with the RGB lights easily thanks to the tempered glass side panel included.

Software

The OS comes with an Asus pre-installed app entitled “ROG Armory Crate”. This app is used to customize the lightings of the whole system unit in just a click to set the lightings and sync it as you wished.

You can also switch between power modes that overclock the PC, and change the fan speed profiles (Windows, Balanced, Turbo and Manual) and select what other Asus software to install.

Benchmark

We’d tested it using different popular benchmarking app and we’re happy to see excellent results given from it’s i9-9900k processor paired with RTX 2080 8gb GDDR6 and 32gb memory ram.
