Hardware Hot Mouse Peripherals Review

Razer Deathadder Elite

The Razer DeathAdder is one of the best-selling mouse of the company. It has been around since 2006 and many professional gamers consider this as one of the most comfortable mouse to use for gaming and day-to-day work because of its ergonomic design.

Today, we’re going to look at the new version of the mouse which is the Razer DeathAdder Elite and how well it performs compared to its predecessor.

Razer has preserved its classic ergonomic design. Both sides still have the rubber side grip that many people really like because it gives you more control on the mouse during crucial team fights.

The size of the mouse is around 127mm x 70mm x 44mm and the weight is 150g. This is one of the best lightweight mouse that you can buy.

Razer has added two DPI buttons which is nice because it allows you to change your DPI on the fly, and it’s positioned just below the scroll wheel so you may reach it easily if needed. It still got two big thumb buttons on the side which is programmable using Razer Synapse. Also, the scroll wheel now has some tiny nubs which gives more control when scrolling. Overall, the mouse has 7 buttons and all of them are programmable using Razer’s software.

Razer has worked with one of the biggest switch supplier, Omron, to design their own mechanical switches. It is engineered to last up to 50 million clicks and faster response time. The maximum DPI of the mouse is 16,000 but I personally set my DPI around 1400 – 1800.

Razer Chroma technology makes the mouse stand out with its 16.8 million customizable colors.
I like the inclusion of Chroma since it helps me sync the color of the mouse to my computer’s theme. It has four lighting effects which are reactive, spectrum cycling, breathing and my personal favorite, static.

Razer Synapse is the software that will allow you to program your buttons, adjust your DPI and acceleration and set up your Chroma lighting. It’s one of the best software I’ve used because of its user friendly UI and intuitive design.

I had some issues with my first Razer DeathAdder mouse which was a 2013 version, the mouse started double clicking after a month of daily used. That’s why I was hesitant to buy another DeathAdder for personal use, but when I heard that Razer designed their new switches, I gave Elite a chance. I’m impressed that after 7 months of daily usage, the DeathAdder Elite still works like new, I’m using this mouse for almost 16 hours a day and it never fails me. I play a lot of FPS and MOBA games and those games require a lot mouse clicking but I never had an issue.

The Razer DeathAdder Elite is priced at around $70, it’s not cheap but it offers good features and quality. With that price, you can have a mouse that is comfortable to use for day-to-day work and gaming, and it includes all the modern technology that a gaming mouse must have. You may buy the mouse online from Lazada Online Store or Amazon if you’re willing to pay the shipping.
